Alright, time to get our tool on. Umm, that sounded bad. You know what I mean. Here is the thing: the technology available to entrepreneurs like all of us is ridiculous. I mean there is really something for pretty much everything.

And that is good…and bad.

Good in the sense that really any problem you need solving for has some kind of solution (and if not you can make one).

Bad in that there is a lot of choice and it is easy to get caught up in the technology. What separates a shiny red ball from someone useful is function. How does any given tool help you? Does it make you money? Save you time? Make your life easier?

So, here are 10 web tools that are more than cool. They are useful.

1. Tynt

Tynt

What about your thoughts? What would you add to the list that makes your entrepreneurial life easier?

  • Asad Khan

is also helpful. It’s a free business name generator tool

  • Caroline

Something more recent is Kotive (www.kotive.com) – it helps to break down all of the tasks that you need to get done in your business operations, and you can delegate certain tasks to specific people. It also does a lot of things automatically, like sending notifications, creating .pdf docs (useful for quotes, invoices, etc.) or updating your mailing list. It costs $14/month and up.

    • I was looking for something exactly like Kotive. I think I found another saas app like that, but looked too simple. Kotive looks like it can handle a full process + automate some things. Looks cool. Thx for sharing. BTW, wow, I commented on this post 6 years ago and still got a Disqus notification! And the comment is still roughly true today.

        You’re welcome, Joe!
And ‘wow’ indeed, it’s easy to imagine that old comments die eventually, so here’s a good reminder that they can come back to help you (and hopefully never haunt you!).

  • Being an entrepreneur, I know the importance of web tools for a business and I was looking for the same. Thanks for sharing the list.

I’d like to recommend a great tool for task management that works inside Gmail –
