OK, I lied. I said last Friday’s interview with Ryan Coyne was the end of Fight Week. Just kidding. I was lucky enough to hunt down for an exclusive on the show.

Urijah is the main event at on July 2nd where he takes on Dominick Cruz for the UFC Bantamweight title. It is going to be a good one.

In this interview, of course we discuss the fight and Urijah’s career, but the beginning is a bit different as we discuss nutrition and healthy eating and there are some tips you can take and use right away (spoiler alert: coconuts). Enjoy!

Great interview. At the level he’s performing at, going against the most dangerous fighters in the world, I would imagine nutrition can really be a competitive advantage. UFC is so high intensity, you’ve got to operate like a machine to be successful in his sport, and putting the right stuff in your body is critical, i’m sure…maybe more so than any other sport.

Al – Definitely. It really is. The food is the fuel, baby!

Phone Interviews without subtitles are really hard to understand… Nice site though!

C – Totally get what you mean. 95% of the interviews on the show are normally done via Skype Video, 3% via landline phone and 2%-ish via cell. The quality can be a little iffy. Hope to see you back for more.
